How to convert SGD to BRL
The maths behind a SGD to BRL conversion is one multiplication, no rounding tricks. On 18 August 2026 that rate is 4.0798, so:
BRL = SGD × 4.0798
To go from BRL back to SGD, divide by the same rate. Put another way, 0.245113 Singapore Dollars to the Brazilian Real.
The converter at the top of this page does both directions and updates as you type. Every result is recalculated on the server as well, so the number you see is the number that gets stored.
About the Singapore Dollar and the Brazilian Real
The Singapore Dollar (SGD, symbol S$) is the currency of Singapore. The Brazilian Real (BRL, symbol R$) is the currency of Brazil.
Like any pair, the rate reflects what traders will pay at that moment, not a fixed value. The figures here are mid-market reference rates from a public daily feed: the rate quoted in the news, not the rate a retail exchange hands you over the counter.
Worked SGD to BRL examples
A price tag. Something marked S$50 comes to 203.99 BRL. Round to 204 BRL for a quick mental check while you are standing in the shop.
A monthly salary. S$3,000 a month is 12239.26 BRL — useful when you are comparing a job offer across the two markets. Bear in mind the rate moves, so a figure agreed today will not be the figure paid out in six months.
Going the other way. If you are holding R$1,000 and want to know what it buys in Singapore Dollars, that is 245.11 SGD. The converter handles both directions — use the swap button between the two fields.
Watch the margin. At a bureau charging 3%, your S$500 would fetch roughly 1978.68 BRL instead of 2039.88 BRL. That gap is what the mid-market rate on this page lets you spot.
The SGD/BRL rate stands at 4.0798 on 18 August 2026. It is refreshed every morning, so this page never quotes a figure older than a day.
That works out at 407.9752 BRL for 100 SGD. Type a different figure into the converter to see it change as you go.
No — treat it as the reference point, not the offer. Exchange desks quote a spread around the mid-market rate and keep the difference. Comparing their quote with the figure above tells you what the convenience is costing you.
