How to convert CNY to GBP
Turning Chinese Yuan into British Pounds needs nothing more than today's rate and a multiplication. On 18 August 2026 that rate is 0.109445, so:
GBP = CNY × 0.109445
Going the other way, divide instead of multiply — or multiply by 9.137, which amounts to the same thing: one British Pound buys 9.137 Chinese Yuan.

About the Chinese Yuan and the British Pound
The Chinese Yuan (CNY, symbol ¥) is the currency of China. The British Pound (GBP, symbol £) is the currency of the United Kingdom.
The two are quoted against each other constantly, so the rate moves throughout the trading day. The figures here are mid-market reference rates from a public daily feed: the rate quoted in the news, not the rate a retail exchange hands you over the counter.

A monthly salary. ¥3,000 a month is 328.34 GBP — useful when you are comparing a job offer across the two markets. Bear in mind the rate moves, so a figure agreed today will not be the figure paid out in six months.
