Every calculator here is written by someone who works with the numbers it produces, and most are checked by a second person from the discipline the formula belongs to. The byline at the top of a page says which. Below is who they are and what each of them looks after.
How pages are assigned
A page belongs to the person whose subject it is: lending pages to the person who assessed mortgage applications, tax and payroll to the accountant, currency to the former dealer, health to the exercise physiologist, and the pure arithmetic to the mathematician. Where a calculator sits between two disciplines — body composition, which is physiology and formula, or a tax page that is also a business question — a second name is added as reviewer rather than pretending one person covers both.
Pages that are not editorial — the privacy policy, this site's own information pages — carry no byline, because attaching an expert to them would say something that is not true.
