The formula
How to convert NOK to CHF
There is only one number you need to convert NOK to CHF: the rate the market is quoting. On 18 August 2026 that rate is 0.086018, so:
CHF = NOK × 0.086018
Reverse the direction and you divide rather than multiply. Equivalently, one Swiss Franc is worth 11.6254 Norwegian Kroner.
The converter at the top of this page does both directions and updates as you type. Every result is recalculated on the server as well, so the number you see is the number that gets stored.
About the Norwegian Krone and the Swiss Franc
The Norwegian Krone (NOK, symbol kr) is the currency of Norway. The Swiss Franc (CHF, symbol CHF) is the currency of Switzerland.
Like any pair, the rate reflects what traders will pay at that moment, not a fixed value. Everything on this page is a mid-market rate. Retail providers quote a spread around it and keep the difference.
Worked NOK to CHF examples
A price tag. Something marked kr50 comes to 4.3009 CHF. Round to 4 CHF for a quick mental check while you are standing in the shop.
A monthly salary. kr3,000 a month is 258.05 CHF — useful when you are comparing a job offer across the two markets. Bear in mind the rate moves, so a figure agreed today will not be the figure paid out in six months.
Going the other way. If you are holding CHF1,000 and want to know what it buys in Norwegian Kroner, that is 11625.44 NOK. The converter handles both directions — use the swap button between the two fields.
Watch the margin. At a bureau charging 3%, your kr500 would fetch roughly 41.7188 CHF instead of 43.0091 CHF. That gap is what the mid-market rate on this page lets you spot.

No. This is the mid-market reference rate — the midpoint between what buyers and sellers are quoting. Banks, card issuers and bureaus add a margin, so expect somewhat less than shown. Use it as a benchmark to judge whether an offer is fair.
