The formula
How to convert CHF to BRL
Turning Swiss Francs into Brazilian Reais needs nothing more than today's rate and a multiplication. On 18 August 2026 that rate is 6.4293, so:
BRL = CHF × 6.4293
Reverse the direction and you divide rather than multiply. Equivalently, one Brazilian Real is worth 0.155538 Swiss Francs.
The converter at the top of this page does both directions and updates as you type. Every result is recalculated on the server as well, so the number you see is the number that gets stored.
About the Swiss Franc and the Brazilian Real
The Swiss Franc (CHF, symbol CHF) is the currency of Switzerland. The Brazilian Real (BRL, symbol R$) is the currency of Brazil.
Neither currency is pegged to the other, so the figure drifts from one session to the next. The feed publishes mid-market figures, which is what financial reporting cites. Actual exchange costs a margin on top.
Worked CHF to BRL examples
A price tag. Something marked CHF50 comes to 321.46 BRL. Round to 321 BRL for a quick mental check while you are standing in the shop.
A monthly salary. CHF3,000 a month is 19287.85 BRL — useful when you are comparing a job offer across the two markets. Bear in mind the rate moves, so a figure agreed today will not be the figure paid out in six months.
Going the other way. If you are holding R$1,000 and want to know what it buys in Swiss Francs, that is 155.54 CHF. The converter handles both directions — use the swap button between the two fields.
Watch the margin. At a bureau charging 3%, your CHF500 would fetch roughly 3118.2 BRL instead of 3214.64 BRL. That gap is what the mid-market rate on this page lets you spot.
As of 18 August 2026, 6.4293 Brazilian Reais buys what one Swiss Franc does. That figure is pulled from a public reference feed once a day.
That works out at 642.9284 BRL for 100 CHF. Type a different figure into the converter to see it change as you go.
No — treat it as the reference point, not the offer. Exchange desks quote a spread around the mid-market rate and keep the difference. Comparing their quote with the figure above tells you what the convenience is costing you.
