How to convert BRL to MXN
To convert Brazilian Reais to Mexican Pesos, multiply the amount by the current exchange rate. On 18 August 2026 that rate is 3.2673, so:
MXN = BRL × 3.2673
To go from MXN back to BRL, divide by the same rate. Put another way, 0.306064 Brazilian Reais to the Mexican Peso.
The converter at the top of this page does both directions and updates as you type. Every result is recalculated on the server as well, so the number you see is the number that gets stored.
About the Brazilian Real and the Mexican Peso
The Brazilian Real (BRL, symbol R$) is the currency of Brazil. The Mexican Peso (MXN, symbol Mex$) is the currency of Mexico.
The rate is set by continuous trading, which is why it rarely reads the same two days running. These are reference rates rather than dealing rates. Treat them as the benchmark you measure an offer against.
Worked BRL to MXN examples
A price tag. Something marked R$50 comes to 163.36 MXN. Round to 163 MXN for a quick mental check while you are standing in the shop.
A monthly salary. R$3,000 a month is 9801.87 MXN — useful when you are comparing a job offer across the two markets. Bear in mind the rate moves, so a figure agreed today will not be the figure paid out in six months.
Going the other way. If you are holding Mex$1,000 and want to know what it buys in Brazilian Reais, that is 306.06 BRL. The converter handles both directions — use the swap button between the two fields.
Watch the margin. At a bureau charging 3%, your R$500 would fetch roughly 1584.64 MXN instead of 1633.65 MXN. That gap is what the mid-market rate on this page lets you spot.
Today's reading is 3.2673 MXN per Brazilian Real, recorded 18 August 2026. The daily feed updates it each morning without any action on your part.
At today's rate, 100 Brazilian Reais come to 326.7291 MXN. The converter handles any amount, in either direction.
No — treat it as the reference point, not the offer. Exchange desks quote a spread around the mid-market rate and keep the difference. Comparing their quote with the figure above tells you what the convenience is costing you.
