How to convert AUD to INR
Turning Australian Dollars into Indian Rupees needs nothing more than today's rate and a multiplication. On 18 August 2026 that rate is 68.0531, so:
INR = AUD × 68.0531
Going the other way, divide instead of multiply — or multiply by 0.014694, which amounts to the same thing: one Indian Rupee buys 0.014694 Australian Dollars.
The converter at the top of this page does both directions and updates as you type. Every result is recalculated on the server as well, so the number you see is the number that gets stored.
About the Australian Dollar and the Indian Rupee
The Australian Dollar (AUD, symbol A$) is the currency of Australia. The Indian Rupee (INR, symbol ₹) is the currency of India.
Neither currency is pegged to the other, so the figure drifts from one session to the next. The feed publishes mid-market figures, which is what financial reporting cites. Actual exchange costs a margin on top.

A price tag. Something marked A$50 comes to 3402.66 INR. Round to 3,403 INR for a quick mental check while you are standing in the shop.
A monthly salary. A$3,000 a month is 204159.44 INR — useful when you are comparing a job offer across the two markets. Bear in mind the rate moves, so a figure agreed today will not be the figure paid out in six months.
Going the other way. If you are holding ₹1,000 and want to know what it buys in Australian Dollars, that is 14.6944 AUD. The converter handles both directions — use the swap button between the two fields.
Watch the margin. At a bureau charging 3%, your A$500 would fetch roughly 33005.78 INR instead of 34026.57 INR. That gap is what the mid-market rate on this page lets you spot.
Today's reading is 68.0531 INR per Australian Dollar, recorded 18 August 2026. The daily feed updates it each morning without any action on your part.
That works out at 6805.3146 INR for 100 AUD. Type a different figure into the converter to see it change as you go.
No — treat it as the reference point, not the offer. Exchange desks quote a spread around the mid-market rate and keep the difference. Comparing their quote with the figure above tells you what the convenience is costing you.
